Cryo-Cell Institute for Cellular Therapies’ First Infusion Clinic

Cryo-Cell International will be opening its first infusion clinic for its Cryo-Cell Institute for Cellular Therapies in Durham. The institute will be located in an 8,151 square foot facility that is being renovated at 249 East Highway 54 at the Durham Southpoint Professional Center. Commercial Brokers Mark O’Neal and Emilee Collins with Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate represented Cryo-Cell in the purchase of the property.

Florida-based Cryo-Cell International operates the world’s first private cord blood bank, which opened in 1992. It also has a public banking program in partnership with Duke University. Cryo-Cell Institute for Cellular Therapies will offer FDA-regulated cord blood treatments for conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, ‎and hypoxic brain injuries. The clinic will be located just 10 miles away from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

“It was essential for the clinic to be located near Duke University as well as for its patients and families to have easy access to the airport and nearby hotels,” said Mark O’Neal. “It was an honor for Pickett Sprouse to be involved with finding the right location for such a groundbreaking medical treatment.”

The infusion clinic will be on the ground floor of a medical condominium in the Southpoint Professional Center. The facility previously housed EmergeOrtho. The clinic is expected to open January 2022.
